PE department successes this year include being winners in: U14 Yorkshire county cup cricket, U15 Huddersfield cricket league, U14 Huddersfield schools hockey cup, U16 Kirklees school games curling, U14 Huddersfield league basketball over 16 Huddersfield cup football and U15 Huddersfield football league.

PE extra-curricular includes targeting less active students to attend fitness and Taekwondo sessions. 65 students went to see a Champions League football match as a reward for sporting commitment. We run a Sky Sports Living for Sport Programme in which students are mentored by Paul Broadbent, ex GB rugby player. We run a JAE programme which provides support for students who represent their sport at regional/county/national level. Students raised £665 by holding a cross country. 90 Y9 students have a Level 1 leadership award and now assist with running the 25 competitions/events the Shelley pyramid sports partnership provide.
